Riverhawks beat Wranglers
The Mosquito OBA Riverhawks traveled to Wyoming tonight and beat the Major Wranglers 19-6. Pavey started the game for Alvinston and pitched 3 very strong innings, Goss came in and pitched the final 4 innings shutting down the Wranglers bats and leading the Hawks to victory. The defense was solid, Aarts started a double play, Duncan made a nice catch in center then fired a strike to Kelly at second to double off a Wranglers runner. There were many other fine defensive plays. The offense heated up after a bit of a slow start lead by Duncan with a triple, Pavey, Douglas and Irwin with doubles. Aarts got 2 rbi's on a base hit late in the game. Outstanding game all around boys well deserved victory tonight!!
