Mosquito Riverhawks tune up for OBA Tournament
The Mosquito OBA Riverhawks dropped there exhibition game to the Blenheim Bees last night. The outcome was not the important thing for the Hawks, it had been 2 weeks since the boys had played a game so getting the arms back in game action was the goal.

We were able to get 8 pitchers into the game; Douglas, Pavey, Irwin, Van Gorp, MacKellar, Duncan, Goss and Kelly all shook the rust off and did good jobs in there inning. The offence was solid with some good aggressive base running leading to several of the Riverhawks runs. MacKellar broke out of his slump with a base hit in his final at bat (way to go "McKiller").
The boys conclude their season this weekend at the OBA tournament in Chatham. They begin Friday at 4:30 pm against Ilderton. Regardless of how the tournament goes this group has had an outstanding season with many great and exciting games and moments. The boys have continued to grow and play together as a team, they encourage and support one and other. Your coaches are all proud of what you have done this season and look forward to a long run in the tournament this weekend!
Good luck to our other 2 hardball teams at their year end OBA tournaments as well this weekend! The Rookie Ball Riverhawks are in Wallaceburg and the Peeweee Riverhawks are in Norfolk, go get um RIVERHAWKS!!
