Wranglers' Bats Spoil Riverhawks' Home Opener!
A tough night for the Riverhawks in Alvinston tonight as they were handed their first loss of the season by the Wyoming Wranglers 1 team (23-8). In a game that saw a ton of big hits and showcased blazing speed on the base paths by both teams, the Wranglers simply did more of it.

Notable Riverhawk highlights included Ty Moffatt starting off the home half of the first inning with a moonshot that sailed over the head of the Wranglers center-fielder for a triple. He then stole home. Moffatt was also a speedster on the bases and a fire-baller on the mound in the late stages of the game. Brandon Faulds got his first appearance in on the mound and showed a strong arm as well as consistent improvement throughout his outing. Kolby Wilson came on in relief of Faulds and did a great job firing strikes and retiring batters for us. Peyton Mahovlich also blasted a triple down the first baseline that had the baseball moms cheering! The Riverhawks will shake this one off and hope to rebound by Saturday, when they will square off against the D.K.M.B. River-Cats at 10am in Delaware.
