Riverhawks Late Rally Takes the Sting Out of the Bees
The Riverhawks traveled to Blenheim tonight to take on there rivals the Bees. A bat around 10 run fifth inning helped the Riverhawks defeat the Bees 15-7. Douglas took the ball for the Hawks with Kelly behind the plate. Douglas pitched two strong innings with Duncan coming in to pitch the final three to seal the victory. Douglas, Pavey and Duncan lead the offense each with a double. Verberne and Aarts had some great at-bats against a couple hard throwing bees pitchers. The defense was solid all around with MacKellar making a nice grab in center field. Back on the field tomorrow against Wyoming, Great game Riverhawks!!
