Pee Wee HB Boys, Baseball, 2017 (Alvinston Minor Ball)

I have inserted our first three games of the Waterdown tournament onto our team schedule. We will open the tournament on Friday July 21st at 6:15pm against the Saugeen Shores Sting!

The Alvinston Riverhawks Pee Wee boys hosted the Dresden Tigers on a beautiful night for baseball in Alvinston. Peyton Mahovlich and Jack Denkers teamed up to take care of the pitching duties for the Hawks.

The Pee Wee Boys participated in a weekend tournament in Camlachie June 9-11. They kicked off the weekend with a gutsy bounce-back 8-1 win against the Corunna Giants who had beaten the Riverhawks badly just two days prior.

A tough night for the Riverhawks in Alvinston tonight as they were handed their first loss of the season by the Wyoming Wranglers 1 team (23-8). In a game that saw a ton of big hits and showcased blazing speed on the base paths by both teams, the Wranglers simply did more of it. 

The Pee Wee Riverhawks opened their season on the road in Wyoming tonight as they took on Wyoming Wranglers 2. Some great pitching from Jack Denkers and Connor Cumming set the tone early in the game. Peyton Mahovlich pitched two nice innings to set up well for Chase Irwin to come in and close out the game. Hits were scattered throughout the line up but a couple notable moments included a big rip by rookie Travis Holmes and a triple from the speedy Noah Bright. Ty Moffatt was solid behind the plate and also got in on the base stealing.
